I offer a free initial session where we can discuss your personal requirements and decide whether we would like to work together. There is of course no obligation to continue if you decide counselling isn’t for you.
During this initial session, I will ask you about your background, lifestyle, family and health just to get a sense of what it is like to be you. We will talk about how you are feeling and what has brought you to counselling. We can explore any goals you may have in mind and make a contract as to what you would like to achieve. It’s absolutely fine if you are unsure of what these are – goals often become clearer as we go along.
If we decide we would like to work together, we would usually meet on the same day and at the same time each week for 50 minutes. The duration of your therapy can be agreed with you during your first session and can be reviewed as part of an ongoing discussion about how your therapeutic journey is going. Usually I see clients weekly and very occasionally I can arrange to see clients fortnightly.
My session fees are:
Free initial session, followed by:
£50 adults (50 minutes)
£40 teens and students (50 mins)
£60 couples (usually fortnightly, 60 mins)
